SEATTLE, WA, AUGUST 1, 2022 – Hysterics Studios announced a new streaming interview series beginning on August 3, 2022 called, “Journeys of Inspiration: Reflections on Star Trek.” The concept began due to the postponement of a panel from Seattle’s 2020 Emerald City Comic Con (ECCC) and evolved into a new entertainment project.
What inspires those who helped build the Star Trek™ franchise, which continues to inspire fans for more than 55 years? This new retrospective interview series answers that question and more, as the producers obtained personal stories beyond the usual interview, during the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Going boldly into the unknown, Journeys of Inspiration: Reflections on Star Trek, will feature 42 guests comprised of authors, writers, producers, directors, crew members, along with other guests from all corners of Trek, including those with the newest Paramount+™ properties. The guests are those who have spent their careers providing the audience with over 800 episodes of 11 television & streaming series and 13 movies, along with countless books, comics, and more.
Production began on April 18, 2020 and concluded two months later. The first interview/episode will be released on August 3, 2022 featuring Tom Costantino, co-producer and showrunner of the hit Hulu™ series, The Orville. New episodes and drop dates will be announced as each episode becomes available. Future guests include Nicholas Meyer, Doug Drexler, David Mack, Keith DeCandido, Dayton Ward, Brannon Braga, Una McCormack, Andrew Robinson, J.G. Hertzler, Robert O’Reilly, and more!! Special guest interview with Legacy actor, Walter Koenig, will release on September 7, 2022 in time for the 56th Anniversary of Star Trek™ and also Star Trek Day™ scheduled for September 8th. Each new interview has an average runtime of 30 minutes or longer and will stream free on the Hysterics Studios’ YouTube channel.
